After the August 20th Forum, we organized a Steering Committee whose responsibility was to synthesize the results of the Forum and make a recommendation of projects. The evolution of their recommendation is an interesting and compelling story. Organized into three disparate groups on September 16 with a charge to come back with several important projects, each group, independently, came back with the same recommendation: that the most important project was to create a self-sustaining vehicle for identifying and executing projects. This forms the basis of our propose effort of creating the Center for Student Action and initially filling it with several important projects.
