SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE

COMMUNITY COUNCIL

The Council will be composed of members from each fiscal agency, from the school’s teaching staff, the school’s administration, students, and representative from community organizations.. Specific responsibilities for the Community Council will include;

q       organize and implement annual Service Learning workshops (attachment SL)

q       collaborate on shared resources (accounting, the Center, use of technology, etc)

q       rank and prioritize potential projects based on the “Needs Assessment”

q       work together in preparation of annual reports and the Phase ll Sustainability Report

q       establish the rules of governance for the Council

q       provide ongoing quality assurance

q       provide independent review of the Center’s operation

Tentative criteria for representation on the Council could include the following:

q       an organization with an established commitment to collaboration

q       an organization with longevity and financial solvency

q       an organization representing or benefiting  a large number of people
