Meeting Tough New State and Federal Learning Standards

We are pleased to report that the San Juan Island School District, along with all of our schools individually, has met the new federal learning standards referred to as “No Child Left Behind.” This law requires all schools and school districts to show annually that students are meeting achievement targets in reading and mathematics. We have far exceeded the “Adequate Yearly Progress” standard and continue to perform among the top school districts in the state.
