Solar at FHHS
Thanks to the generous work of Northwest Electric & Solar, Friday Harbor High School has a new rooftop solar array which is online and producing clean energy for our schools.
This 8.1 kW system includes 30 solar modules and is projected to generate about 8,260 kWh of electricity each year—a visible, working example of renewable energy right here at SJISD. This, combined with the Bonneville Solar4R Schools Project, means we are producing solar energy with over 60 solar panels.
Students will be able to see renewable energy in action on their own campus and connect classroom learning to the systems shaping our future.
