Hi! Thank you for visiting.

I started teaching at FHES in 2006, and love my work. After teaching first and second grades, as well as a 1st-2nd combo, I transitioned to teaching Music in 2018. Teaching is a daily challenge and a very rewarding experience, and I enjoy sharing my love of music with the students of our school.

My daughter attended SJISD from Kindergarten through 12th grade, and graduated in 2020. She is a fine flutist, vocalist, and bass player, and is now completing her undergraduate degree at UW.

Living on San Juan Island is a daily treat.  In my spare time I enjoy singing in community groups, directing the Treblemakers choir, traveling, reading, gardening, road trips with my husband and our dog Abbey (named for the Abbey Road album), and all things Snoopy.
