Info on Menu Labeling:
Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free Menu Labels-df = Dairy Freegf = Gluten Freedf/gf modified = this gets tricky. This means the meal can be gf or df if a meal component is not consumed. Unless a medical form is on file, the student may be served this component but is not obligated to consume it. To not have the component served, there MUST be a medical form on file that identifies the dietary restriction.
Carbohydrate Counts -
Please work with the school nurse, Maurine Clark, for accurate carb counting methods.
This information can be found at the bottom of this site in PDF form in an alphabetized list. This information is provided by the school nurse's nutritional analysis of our from-scratch cooking. The carb counts will be reported for ounce/cup measurements that may not match the serving size. For example: "9g per 1/2 cup" means that there are 9 grams of carbs in a half cup of the item, but a student may consume more or less of the item due to self-service of meal components.
