•                                             Wolverine Fall Playoff Update

    Our first week of postseason contests has been completed for some, and for others it is about to begin. Good luck to all as they continue to advance.

     

    •    Girls Soccer –   Our girls’ soccer team finished second in the league.  With this finish, they played Evergreen Lutheran on 11/4, in a loser out/winner to state match. The girls lost a hard-fought match 1-0 in penalty kicks.

    •    Boys Tennis - Boys tennis sent 2 singles and 2 doubles teams to the 2B tri district playoffs at the Amy Yee tennis center on Wednesday 10/23. Singles players Finn Graham and Myles Posenjak, and doubles teams Phoenix Daily/Liam Copley and Brandon Prouty/Owen Hill competed, with Myles Posenjak and doubles team Graham/Copley each finishing in second place.     •    Boys Soccer – Our boys’ team played Evergreen Lutheran in Bi-Districts on 11/5. Friday Harbor won the match 4-1. With the win Friday Harbor has earned a berth in the state playoffs (opponent/date/time/place TBD). The boys will play Lopez Island on Thursday 11/7 at Oak Harbor Stadium in the second round of the Bi-District playoffs. Congratulations boys!   Here is the link to the WIAA state bracket:

    •    Football – Our Football team defeated Coupeville 35-0 in the league tiebreaker game on Monday 11/4. With the win, Friday Harbor was crowned league champions. They will now play the #3 seed Pe Ell/Willapa Valley in the bi district crossover game on Saturday 11/9, 12pm at Oak Harbor Stadium.     •    Cross Country-Cross country traveled to tri-Districts at Fort Steilacoom on Wednesday 10/30. Friday Harbor ran well with 7 girls and 2 boys qualifying for the state tournament in Pasco on Saturday 11/9. Here is a link to the list of state qualifiers:
