Education

I received my BA in History from University of California, Irvine (Zot, Zot!) and my MA in Education and Educational Technology from Concordia University, Irvine.

Experience

I have been teaching for nine years; all in the high school history classroom. I am originally from Southern California and have taught in San Bernardino, Palm Springs, and Los Angeles. I completed my student teaching at Pacific High School in San Bernardino during which I received my California Teaching Credential. I landed my official first teaching job at Rancho Mirage High School in Palm Springs Unified, where I taught World History, US History, and AP Human Geography. Lastly, I worked at Loyola High School of Los Angeles; an all-boys Jesuit private school in downtown LA. While at Loyola, I taught AP World History and AP Government. I also sat in the Faculty Senate, advised Junior State of America, was head coach of the Speech & Debate team and coached shot put and discus. I have just finished my first year here at Friday Harbor High School and am looking forward to another amazing year! I will be teaching US History, APUS History, AP Human Geography, and Pre-AP World History and Geography.
