Bio

Hello! My name is Ms. Caldwell and it is a pleasure to be a part of the Friday Harbor community! In my free time I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, playing video games, and hanging out with my two best friends; my husband, Mark, and my dog, Olive.

You can reach me by email at: paigecaldwell@sjisd.org

Education

I received my BA in History from University of California, Irvine (Zot, Zot!) and my MA in Education and Educational Technology from Concordia University, Irvine. I received my teaching credential from California State University, San Bernardino and am certified to teach social science in both California and Washington.

Experience

I have been teaching for ten years; all in the high school history classroom. I am originally from Southern California and have taught in San Bernardino, Palm Springs, and Los Angeles. I completed my student teaching at Pacific High School in San Bernardino during which I received my California Teaching Credential. I landed my official first teaching job at Rancho Mirage High School in Palm Springs Unified, where I taught World History, US History, and AP Human Geography. Inclusively, I worked at Loyola High School of Los Angeles; an all-boys Jesuit private school in downtown LA. While at Loyola, I taught AP World History and AP Government. I also sat in the Faculty Senate, advised Junior State of America, was head coach of the Speech & Debate team and coached shot put and discus. I am looking forward to my fourth year here at Friday Harbor High School! Here at FHHS I teach AP Government & Politics, AP World History, American Government, and Psychology.
