During the school year Friday Harbor Elementary School conducts one drill per month to help better prepare students and staff for possible emergency situations. Drills provide an opportunity for staff to practice assessing conditions and deciding on appropriate actions quickly. Participating in drills helps to decrease fear in students during a real emergency should it occur.
