  • Food Service Information

The San Juan Island School District recognizes that the COVID-19 related school closure will impact some of our families and their access to nutrition. We are committed at this time to continue educational services via Distance Learning and also to provide nutritional services in the form of grab-and-go breakfast and lunch.

The San Juan Island School District will provide a Grab and Go breakfast and lunch for any child living on San Juan Island between the ages 1-18 years old at no cost.

The meal components will meet state and federal nutritional guidelines but will not be the typical fare we are accustomed to in our district. Breakfast meals will consist of milk, yogurt, a breakfast bar and fresh fruit. Lunch meals will consist of milk, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. Most items will be pre-packaged and may be altered or substituted without prior notification due to supply and demand nationwide.

Families may order breakfast and lunches for the week through this google form that can also be found on the district website or by calling their school office.

Meals will be distributed at three locations; the elementary parking lot, the high school parking lot and 595 Roche Harbor Road, and at designated bus stops depending on need.

Service will be between 7:00 am - 7:45 am Monday-Friday during the school closure.

Please plan for children to take food from the site, as we are unable to offer space for children to consume the meal on-site.

Only one form is needed per family. This form will be updated and must be completed each week.

A sincere thank you to our wonderful staff and supportive community.
