- How Can I Apply for Free and Reduced Price Meals?
Option #1 - Online Application via Skyward - *currently English version only*
- Log onto Skyward Family Access
- In the tabs on the left of the page, click Food Service
- Click Applications
- Add application - select Household Application
- Proceed with the Free and Reduced Price Meal Application.
- Application will be processed within 10 days and updated school lunch account with new status.
Option #2 - Paper Application - Print and fill out the materials found below and turn them into your school's office.
- Who is Eligible for Free and Reduced Price Meals?
- Children from families with incomes at or below 130% of the poverty level are eligible for FREE school meals.
- Children from families with incomes between 130% and 185% of the poverty level are eligible for REDUCED price meals.
- Children from families with incomes over 185% of poverty pay FULL price for their meals.

- What are Free and Reduced Price Meals?
Depending on income level, a student may have their lunches paid for, or significantly reduced. In addition to free or reduced meals, students will be eligible for certain scholarships, some reduced school fees, and other benefits. The state provides additional assistance to pay for the breakfast of students eligible for reduced-price lunch.
FYI - This assistance is for complete meals only, a separate purchase of 'milk only' will cost all students $.50 regardless of Free and Reduced status.
- When Should I Apply?
You may apply for benefits at any time during the school year. If you should have a decrease in household income, an increase in household size, or become unemployed, or receive Basic Food, TANF, or FDPIR, you may be eligible for benefits and may fill out an application at that time.
ALL applications EXPIRE in OCTOBER of the following school year and ALL must re-apply prior to the October expiration date. (example: a 2019-2020 application will expire in October of 2020).
